Any stunning dinner party must contribute significant excellence if it's to be remembered, savoured and most importantly leave it's participants wanting more! With influences spanning infamous and dubious genre types, Stubblemelt have firmly cemented themselves into the Birmingham region's 'hallowed corridor of music fame'. So what is it that makes this band different?

Let's take ourselves back to our jollification. Primarily, a good feast must have a flow of rich, heady wine! Principally penned by Lead Guitarist and Frontman, Kyle Perry, Stubblemelt's lyrics provide us with a juxtaposition, where gutsy, powerfully passionate content, combines with often delicate, dreamlike words, creating narratives to challenge and interpret for ourselves. Based on experiences, emotions and tales of the extraordinary, from his affection with The Arts, Perry creates a body of lyrics that work simultaneously and seamlessly with the music that often feels like a boat journey, with rough seas, intermittently relieved by calm waters.

Further elements of our party include an abundance of rich, food, which is provided for us by Stubblemelt's melodic sound. Like those lyrics, the music that works collaboratively with them is intense. There are few repeats; each new track is similar to an epic film score, with high and lows to add depth of feeling, intelligent productions with clever crevices and cavernous fractures, working beautifully and cohesively; a joyous apogee for our ears. Tom Marshall, Bassist, brings a unique energy to the sound, with his heavy, yet fragile role of providing the fat, punchy, bottom end, whilst creating and relieving tension. Efficient and effortless is an excellent summary of David Ashford. Sitting pretty on the drums, David is a music graduate, and brings stability, knowledge and understanding to this band. Newest and youngest, but by no means naive, is Keyboard Player, Amy Collins. Fresh faced, intelligent and completely confident with her instrument, Amy plays deftly, with real feeling and has brought an amazing set of attributes to this band.

So what else to make our epic party complete? Creativity, originality, commitment to continually learn and grow, bringing new and fresh approaches to the experience. In other words, being OK, is not enough!

Stubblemelt have created a firm, loyal fan base. They've remained true to their roots, are grounded and honest, but share a passion for the unusual, the different. They've shared stages with substantial artists, are headlining at a number of key regional Festivals in 2014, have developed their own Charity Festival, 'Lichfield Rocks'.....oh and if that's set your heart racing, will be delivering their Album, 'Gypaetus Barbatus', in May.

Stubblemelt, combining a perfect set of elements for a magnificent feast
