Plant Garlic cloves in pots ready to transplant later

Prepare ground for asparagus

Continue blanting bare-root Roses
Tidy beds
Plant bare-root Roses
Check the fruit stores for rotting fruit, or attacks by rodents
Plant fruit trees, fruit canes and fruit bushes.
March
Finish any digging
Force Rhubarb
Sow early crops under cloches
Warm soil using cloches
Prune Apple trees and other hardy fruit trees
Plant container grown trees and mulch well
Dig in manure around the base of fruit trees
Prepare Strawberry beds.
April
Finish any digging
Warm soil using cloches or polythene
If not already done, prune Rasberry canes to 6"
Plant fruit trees, fruit canes and fruit bushes
Prepare Strawberry beds
Tidy up the lawn. Re-sow patches that look bare/damaged.
